The first advantage I will write about is entering a familiar area or, in other words, a "soft landing" in the country you arrive to.
The social bubble essentially consists of people with a similar profile. Most of the people there are immigrants, they are all looking for social connections, there is a common goal of building and strengthening their identity, and they usually speak the same language (if you remember from my previous posts, language is a very important cultural component).
The social bubble allows us to feel we belong, even if this belonging is not in the new society. It reduces ‘foreign’ sensations.
The second advantage is in preserving, strengthening, and creating an identity.
Inside the bubble, through language, being, friendships, conversations about what is happening in the country of origin, we maintain a clear identity and identification with the country of origin.
